Yes, I am very aware it has been over a month since my last post.
I have been very busy, can't you tell?
Well, maybe I haven't been THAT busy, but it is hard to blog when I am sleeping.
There were 1,200 pictures to go through for the remainder of December.
I cut it down drastically.
We will start where we left off, but it may not be in the correct order.
Sissy had her Christmas playdate.
This is some of her crew in the "igloo".
It was a typical playdate at the park. You know, snow in sunny California, a boy (Zach) getting ready to pull her hair...
Mama let her play at the fountain! She had so much fun!
But, not as much fun when Mama told her they had to leave.
The family went to Washington to visit Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. Hoping for snow.
I stayed home with my other Mama (Auntie Kris) and Auntie Tia (Ericka).
This is Sissy at the Skaggit Kids' Museum.
It's a big Hermes!
(Hermes was a turtle my mama bought Auntie Tia when she was in college)
Grandma bought Sissy everything she wanted! Including this grocery cart.
But, Sissy isn't spoiled.
This was actually a developmental toy. (wink)
Sissy went up to Washington, only walking 3-4 steps.
But, as soon as she got there, she was running like she had been doing it for months!
So, every one of Grandma and Grandpa's purchases were justified.
Without this grocery cart, my sister might still be crawling!
(Right Grandma?...)
CHRISTMAS MORNING!
"MAMA! I HAVE TO GO UPSTAIRS! GRANDPA IS MAKING ME CINNAMON ROLLS!"
Yes, Grandpa introduces Sissy this sweet breakfast treat!
She liked it so much, he made it for her every morning!
Surprisingly, Sissy was pretty good at unwrapping presents!
More "exercising" and motor development.
Sissy's favorite game was chasing Daddy with the cart.
It was cold there. In the 30's and 40's.
So, everyone had to bundle up!
This was a walk they went on.
Mama caught a cold soon after that.
Thank goodness there were extra hands, and it was 4 adults to one kid!
Mama was grateful for the naps she got to take.
Sissy got to go to Grandpa's work.
He works at a potato factory!
He sells "small potatoes"! Which everyone knows that is Sissy's favorite cartoon!
But, Christmas had to come to an end.
And Sissy had to say goodbye to all of the wonderful decorations at the house.
And she had to leave all the comforts of Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Including Sissy sized furniture.
It never snowed in their backyard.
But, it did super close, they just didn't know how to get to it.
Ugh, Mama said it was not fun chasing a baby in the airport.
Bye Washington!
So, I got to see my family again!
OOPS! I got caught playing with my Sissy's toys while she was gone.
Oh well, finder's keepers, right?!
When they got home...it rained super hard! More than when they were in Washington!
Sissy got to play at the cousins' house!
They have lots of cool stuff there.
Slides...
Scooters...
Race cars...
The big kid toys were hard to use, but Grandma was there to help teach her.
They played together...
Ate together....
And just generally had a good time!
So, Christmas was officially over.
I didn't need lots of toys, just comfy places to sleep.
And Sissy's clothes were super comfy.
OK, so, now on to the day to day stuff...
Parks, parks, and more parks!
Just fooling around at a park...
Eating at the mall...
(Mama told Sissy to get used to this. She will be eating at the mall with her friends a lot in her teen years)
Indoor playgrounds...
Now that she can walk, she is much better at playing.
She's getting older, so I think she "gets" the toys a bit more.
She went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
As we all know, this is her favorite.
But she got to ride an elephant...
and a rhino...
and she got to be a bat!
Mama thought this was so funny!
A normal day...eating out...
But what is Brennen looking at?
HE PUT A FRENCH FRY IN SISSY'S HAIR!
He is such a boy.
Sissy went to her 15 month appt.
She was 24 lbs and 31.5 inches.
She didn't grow much.
Maybe because she is such a picky eater.
Here are some of her battle wounds from that day.
She got 4 shots. 2 in each arm.
Sissy went to the petting zoo.
She's like Mama. Not a big fan of live animals...that aren't me of course.
Brennen wasn't too sure of the little animals either, he stuck close.
The bigger animals weren't much fun either.
Sissy stuck close to all the mamas.
But, she slowly got braver.
Braver than Mama, that is for sure.
They even fed a zebra mule!
More parks...
First time of a tire swing!
Sissy takes after Mama.
She decided to squiggle down the suspension bridge.
As most of us know. Sissy's favorite book is a construction book, called, "The Digger".
So, she had fun with this digger at the park!
"WEEEEEEEEEE!"
She went to Gymboree.
Gymnastics!
Daddy went with her!
He said, "One, two, three..."
He was scared to throw her...but now he sees why she likes it so much.
This is Brennen's "clown car".
These two kept squeezing themselves into it.
It as quite funny.
So, Mama had to buy Sissy her own.
More Gymboree.
Different location.
My mama and Brennen's mama are working on going to every park and class they possibly can!
More park playdates.
This was the "clown house". These kids fit 5 toddlers in one little house!
"WEEEEEEEEEE!"
Sissy learned to love slides this month.
And she can now actually go down on her own.
At some parks, she can climb up and slide down all by herself!
Sissy had gotten to spend more time with Daddy.
He had been teaching her a lot.
They get good quality time.
We all love Daddy!
Random picture.
This is what Sissy's hair looks like not in pigtails.
Like Albert Einstein!
So, that was December.
January will be coming soon.
Don't you worry.
Mama will help me catch up.
We love you!
