OK, sorry folks, I know that you were all waiting for some great Easter card with costumes. But, it didn't happen this year. And to tell the truth, I am more than happy with it!
Yes, this is the March holiday blog post...but I can not leave out a huge event for my sister.
THE OPENING OF FANTASY FAIRE AT DISNEYLAND!
So, of course, my sister had to be there on opening day.
And pretty much every day after that!
This is Sissy at Rapunzel's tour.
She got to see the Tangled show, and play with everything in the square. She didn't even need to be shown how to use everything!
And of course, she had to dance a waltz!
And ride her trusty steed...although that tiara didn't stay on for long.
Every princess/diva gets to throw a tantrum, right?!
She was in line to see the princesses, and it was 60 minutes long...
needless to say, she didn't make it in.
And every princess needs a train...
This is what Sissy gets to do when Mama has to go potty.
The next time she went to Fantasy Faire...after the Tangled show, she got to meet Rapunzel and Flynn!
And the maidens recognized her from opening day!
And they came over to say hi and dance with her!
Mama was happy that Sissy wasn't afraid of the maidens and princesses.
Sissy went AGAIN with Auntie Tia and Tia Gaby.
You know, she had to show them around her new hood.
And she made sure Tia Gaby knew that she had to share her frozen apple juice with her!
In honor of Tia Gaby, they stayed late for the Beauty and the Beast show. (Belle is Tia Gaby's favorite)
Belle was super nice.
BUT, princesses are NOTHING compared to...
What Sissy has been counting the days down for...
DISNEY JR. LIVE!
Auntie Tia made sure Sissy was first in line for a preview show!
(Tia Gaby and Mama were on Tower of Terror)
I am sure you all know,
Disney Jr. Live is Sissy's favorite!
And it has been closed because they added some new stories.
Including Sissy's favorite...Sophia the First!
Yep!
That's what it is all about!
My sister came home, and told me that it felt like she never left!
It's again her favorite.
Coming out of the show, Mama ran into an old friend.
And because of it, Sissy made a new friend!
Her name is Lucy.
She was born only 3 days before Sissy!
Sissy says she thinks they will be good friends.
All of that going on...the Tias wore my sister out.
She fell asleep mid bite.
You know she's tired if she falls asleep eating a cookie!
Now, for the bunny.
Here's bunny #1.
This is as close as my sister would get.
She isn't a fan of costumed characters.
But, she made sure to wave hi to him.
Then she said, "I'm outta here!"
Next, was Passover dinner with the family.
The cousins always love eating with Great Grandpa!
And Sissy loved Matzo Balls!
(as you know, Sissy is a super picky eater)
It was good to see cousin Mia.
They didn't know if they should love each other...
Or fight each other!
Eventually, they found a common ground and played peacefully.
Mia is SUPER smart. She knows her ABCs and 123s...
so she was nice enough to help Sissy out with the puzzles.
Uncle Jon was a big help too!
Auntie Laurie with all her grandkids!
Well, Mia and Harley, and honorary grandkid, Sissy.
Next was Easter at Irvine Park.
Pretty much more of the same.
Springy stuff to take pictures with.
"Come on Avery! It's just like when we go ride the horsies!"
"Oh. This one doesn't move."
"Watch out world! I am breaking out!"
This was Sissy's first egg hunt.
She knew exactly what to do.
Mama said she takes after her...
She is kind of a hoarder, so she grabbed every egg she could.
Looking at all her loot!
"Hey! I found the Easter Bunny!"
"Ugh, he's too big to ride!
What?! This isn't him?!"
"NOOOOOOOO!
THIS CAN'T BE HIM!"
"I'll show that big scary bunny. I am going to do the ultimate egg hunt and steal his eggs!"
"I DID IT! THE BIGGEST EGG HERE!"
Mama told Sissy she was a trooper, and for being so good she got to go see one of her friends.
"Good Rocky"
Sissy knew that her friend Rocky would be nice, and calm her down after that mean old bunny.
Next was her Easter playdate.
Egg maracas!
They were meant for an Easter parade to the egg hunt. But, trying to round up 20 toddlers for a parade was unrealistic.
(P.S. That's her crazy friend Bren behind her flying like Superman on that lunch bench!)
The egg hunt!
Sissy was a pro now!
She even dumps them out of her basket just so she could pick them back up!
Again, counting up her loot!
Sissy always loves when Daddy can come and play too!
(he really just chases her around)
And she got to see Auntie Kim outdoors!
She and friend Brennen have been trapped inside forever while Auntie Kim was on bedrest with baby #2.
So, this was the first time seeing them outside the house for over a month!
Eating...
and playing....as they should be.
Whoo hoo!
Sissy proves that girls can play just like the boys...big poofy dress or not!
"Weeeeeee!"
So she went down backwards...who cares, it was still fun!
So, that was March.
I am glad to have dodged the bullet of the Easter card.
But Mama said not to get used to it.
There will be some kind of holiday card coming your way!
See you soon!
