So, let me be honest, year two hasn't been very different from year one.
My mama and sister have been working out with their friends.
Sometimes she works out with medicine balls...
Sometimes hullahoops...
and sometimes hurdles. She is always mixing it up.
I am more than happy for them to leave me at home. I can sleep, and stay in the air conditioning!
After every workout, the babies get a reward! They get to have a pool playdate!
Mama says she's needs to cool off too, but she doesn't let Sissy know that.
Sissy is going to My Gym again.
Boy did she miss that ball pit!
And her swings!
And climbing stuff...
And whatever other weird stuff she does there.
All I know is that Sissy seems to have lots to tell me when she gets home. She seems pretty happy to have a place to play.
Now this, THIS is Mama's new toy.
Looks like a food pouch, right?
It is.
But my mama made it!
Sissy couldn't eat store bought food pouches because the citrus fruit gave her diaper rash. But, now, Mama can make her own pouches!
Sissy seems to like them. Even though I know Mama puts yucky stuff in them, like spinach and tofu. But, Sissy still slurps it up!
Mama is still looking for the perfect milk cup.
These are kind of big and hard to hold.
Sissy has been climbing the stairs...
Mama says the good thing is that Sissy seems to know how to get down them.
She turns around...
and slides down...
onto her booty!
Mama finally got the snack tray for Sissy's stroller. And she loves it!
This picture was the first day she used it....at Downtown Disney.
Why were they there you ask?
Grandma and Grandpa got Sissy a season pass to Disneyland for her birthday!
Sissy met a new friend there!
(Her balloon says, "It's my birthday!")
"Want a Cheerio out of my cool tray, Minnie?"
Sissy also did her first art project.
Mama documented it for those of you who wouldn't believe that Sissy did it herself.
Mama helped with the prep work, but the painting was all her!
Mama placed little dollops of paint in Sissy's hand and Sissy would put it on the canvas.
It wasn't a huge success.
Mama has always taught her to not be messy, and now she was telling her it was good to be messy.
Mixed messages.
But she seemed to get the hang of it.
Um, or maybe not.
For 5 minutes of painting...
She sure got messy!
Here are the finished products.
Not too shabby for one year olds.
It's been HOT, but we still like being outside!
Sissy is a lot like her cousin Garrison when he was a baby.
She loves to look at fountains!
She could hang out here all day.
But her friend, Brennen, told her it was too hot, and kind of boring.
Other than that, things are pretty much the same day to day stuff.
Brushing our teeth...
Getting locked out of certain parts of the house...
Napping, or I should say, not napping...
(We think Sissy is transitioning to one nap a day. This is a picture of a tired baby who won't take an afternoon nap!)
and playing in our room.
I love playing with balls!
(and if you are an original follower from back in the day...I used to play with balls all the time when I was a puppy on "Suki Fridays", remember?! I used to pop them all the time too, so Daddy said I can't play with Sissy's balls too often)
OH, and we go to bed.
Today, Sissy's crib officially became a jail.
Mama had to to make her a full length, breathable bumper.
She has netting surrounding the whole crib. Now she can't get her arms and legs stuck between the slats.
It's ok though. She knows that I will stay with her, keep her company, and protect her.
In general, year two has just been my family hanging out.
I like hanging out.
Especially with my sister.
So, I will see you next week!
I hope you had a good week!
Stay cool!
