I am sorry I am late...
but I am wiped.
A one year old is hard to keep up with.
But for the most part, my sister's life is the same.
She went on her weekly workout.
Boy was it hot!
99 degrees hot!
I thought we lived in California! Why is it so hot?!
My sister inherited my mom's sweat genes...poor thing. This was how sweaty she was from just sitting in the stroller. Thank goodness dogs don't sweat/
Sissy started gymnastics last week!
Not Gymboree, The Little Gym, or My Gym.
This is REAL gymnastics.
Sure, she is in the "Tiny Tumblers" class... and since she doesn't walk yet, she really just plays on different things. But, they are REAL gymnastics things.
Like jumping into foam pits...
(way better than a ball pit!)
Mama would THROW Sissy into the pit and Brennen's mama would catch her.
She worked on the balance beam...
and tumbling...
and even the pommel horse!
She played on the baby stuff too.
But, her favorite was the rings. She LOVED them. But, Mama's hands were full with holding Sissy's grip on the rings, no pictures taken.
Needless to say, she liked it, and can't wait to go back!
The next day, Sissy and Brennen did their part and went to Trike41, which was a pediatric cancer fundraiser. Sissy donated a bunch of stuff for "JoyJars". They are little jars filled with toys for sick kids to play with in their hospital rooms. Mama was very proud that Sissy wanted to help out.
Among other things there was a fire engine turned pizza food truck there!
Brennen insisted to accompany my sister everywhere. He is a true gentleman.
But, my sister proved that just because she is a girl, she can handle the controls all by herself!
Then they went on the carousel!
This was the second time...she hadn't gone since her Washington trip with Grandpa and Grandma.
Even though this carousel was super fast, she did much better than last time.
Mama thinks it is because the music wasn't very loud.
But, up and down, round and round, it was a pretty fast ride!
Mama thought Sissy might get scared eventually, but she never did.
It made Mama smile that her baby was so big and brave.
These are the koi fish that are along my sister's walk everyday.
Mama convinced Daddy to buy fish food for them.
But, when Sissy tried to feed them, they all scattered.
So, Sissy got fed up, and said, "Whatever you stupid fish! I am trying to feed you and be your friend! But, I will go to the pet store, and visit and make friends with those animals! They appreciate me!"
Daddy even said she could drive.
She can't wait until the day she can really drive, and visit any animal she wants to!
I have just been hiding...
because my mom keeps taking embarrassing pictures of me.
She thinks that now that both of my knees have had surgery, that I sit funny.
So, she just takes pictures of my booty.
My mom is weird.
Other than that, sissy and I have just been hanging out.
She thinks she can touch my ears when I am not looking.
As if I wouldn't notice.
I just try to ignore her.
I have also been trying to reclaim my room.
But, it isn't working.
My mama says that I need to share.
That's what big sisters do.
The weather has finally started to cool down.
But, Mama has been walking more.
Luckily, I don't have to go with her, but my sister does. He he he.
But, Daddy said that if I keep gaining weight, I might have to join them.
My sister has been giving me more food, and my waistline has suffered a bit.
Oh well.
I'm happy.
That's all that matters.
I hope you are all keeping cool and relaxing!
Talk to you next week!
